• How did Jesus send out the disciples?  
• What did Jesus give the disciples before they left?
• How were they supposed to travel?
• Who did people think Jesus was?  Who did Herod think He was?
• Why was John beheaded?
• How many loaves were miraculously made to feed more than five thousand people?

DIG DEEPER:    

• Why do you think Jesus sent out the disciples in pairs?
• Why do you think the disciples did not understand about "Feeding the Five Thousand" and why were their hearts hardened?

APPLICATION:

• What thoughts come about, knowing that the disciples did not even understand Jesus' teachings/miracles?  
• What things did you learn or were reminded of when reading this verses the same text in Matthew?
