Love and The Return of Jesus!

I think great evidence of Jesus being the King in people's lives, is the fact that they are always changing, always becoming more like Jesus and never stationary.  Our faith continues to grow, day by day.  Our love for one another increases, as we learn the love of Jesus and apply it to the ones around us.  It's not even a matter of "applying" it, but rather, when we know Jesus, He transforms us to be more like Him.  Therefore, we become more loving.  This last year I have seen much growth in my walk with Jesus.  I can confidently say, as my close friends and family can also attest, that I have become more loving. I don't mean "liking", I mean loving.  Loving unselfishly- not to gain anything, but simply because Jesus is more evident in my life.  It's a natural result- trust me, I didn't attain it on my own!  

    I absolutely love the picture from verses 7b-10.  Let me repeat it here with some emphasis.

    When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey
the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, AWAY FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD and from the glory of His might, when He comes on that day to be glorified in His saints, and to marveled at among all who have believed...

    I am so glad I know Jesus!!  What a scary thing to read if you don't.  Were you scared or excited?
