- Verses 6-7 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

- Verse 10-12 He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
The point of the matter is this: If you give generously, the Lord will be generous to you. Some people think if I give much, God will give me wealth. That is not necessarily so. God can bless you abundantly in many different ways other than monetarily. If you give to be blessed, then I would say that you aren't sowing bountifully- you may be giving a large amount, but with an empty heart. God loves when we realize that all that is has been given to us, has been given to us. As quick as it was given, it can also be taken away. God wants us to be good stewards of what He has entrusted to us. So, let us give generously with a cheerful heart!
